About rain in a good climate
The Stormwater Poland 2021 conference took place on 21–23 September 2021 in Katowice and marked the fifth edition of the event. The program included five thematic blocks and a workshop day, concluding with a debate on the future of stormwater management in Poland.
Discussions focused on urban retention, climate change adaptation, drainage systems for transportation infrastructure, and intelligent operation of stormwater networks. During the session “City with Climate,” the activities of the Ministry of Climate and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) were presented. A key highlight was the presentation of the WaterFolder platform and the PANDa rainfall atlas – tools designed to support the design and modernization of drainage systems.
The conference reaffirmed that stormwater management and blue-green infrastructure are essential components of safe and climate-resilient urban spaces.
