Time for stormwater management
The sixth edition of Stormwater Poland took place on 28–29 September 2022 in Katowice.
The first day of the conference featured the session “Made in Silesia,” presenting local retention investments and stormwater drainage projects in Katowice, Zabrze, and Oświęcim. The session “So That Stormwater Doesn’t Become Sewage” focused on reducing storm overflows and using rainwater as a valuable resource.
The second day included the session “Smart Infrastructure,” which addressed big data applications in water management, digital twins, and tools for intelligent retention. The final block concentrated on maintenance of drainage systems and financing blue-green infrastructure investments.
The 2022 edition demonstrated that the time for stormwater management has come – both in design practice and in urban policy.
