Conference Agenda
As part of Stormwater Poland 2022, we have prepared
4 thematically mixed sessions, divided into 2 conference days and a WaterFolder Day
This year, for the first time, we will also organize an event called the WaterFolder Day. It is planned for the day preceding the start of the Stormwater Poland conference, i.e. on September 27. This is a step towards designers, both those using on everyday basis our WaterFolder platform (www.waterfolder.com) as well as everyone who will want to learn more about professional design tools. We hope to gather experts, designers and producers in the International Congress Center to talk together about issues important for the industry, effective design tools, software, new technologies case studies and present offers of the best producers from Poland and around the world.

WaterFolder DAY
WATERFOLDER DAY
The first event in Poland dedicated to designers, both those associated on the WaterFolder platform (www.waterfolder.com) as well as everyone who will want to learn more about professional selection tools in investment design.
Experts, designers and manufacturers will meet in the area of the International Congress Center to talk about issues important for the industry, such as the selection of tools for effective design, present solutions with interesting case studies and present cataloged offers of the best manufacturers from Poland and the world.
The program includes lectures on WaterFolder Connect and PANDA projects, rail and road drainage, green and blue infrastructure, technical conditions, water law permits, drainage design, training with selection calculators, training in modeling applications.

MAIN HALL workshop
A practical approach to the design of linear drainage systems
The workshop will concern a comprehensive view of the design of linear drainage systems, from the design phase to its implementation. In the first part of the workshop, you will learn where to start designing linear drainage systems, what is worth paying attention to, and what are the risks associated with the wrong selection of drainage. We will indicate what conditions and documentation should be provided so that the selected solutions correspond to the latest trends, standards and guidelines. In the practical part, you will gain experience in building a linear drainage line based on a sample project. There are awards for the most involved participants. We invite!”
Challenges in designing solutions for the collection and infiltration of rainwater.
During the workshop we will focus on showing the possibilities of calculators for collecting water from flat and sloping roofs. We will also show you how to correctly interpret the data. You will be able to trace and select the systems of negative pressure water collection from flat roofs, gravity collection of water from sloping roofs and drainage systems. In the practical part, we invite you to the stand where you can assemble the box tank yourself.

Workflow matters: 3 concepts for streamlined 1D-2D stormwater system simulations – warsztat w języku angielskim
Stormwater modeling should be fast, fun, and approachable while not sacrificing the level of detail. In
this workshop, you will learn how to progress from detailed 1D stormwater system models to dynamic
1D-2D urban flood analysis with a minimum effort. You will get introduced to Fluidit Storm simulation
software and the three concepts that help boost your workflow:
- Application of integrated data sources in model building and simulations
- Setting up of fully-coupled 1D-2D flood scenarios
- Using live schematics to create dashboards for results and analysis
Fluidit is a Finnish software specialist developing cutting-edge urban water system simulation and data
analytics tools.

WaterFolder DAY
Flushing storage reservoirs using the energy of dammed sewage.
Application of tank flushing systems – how and why? System maintenance costs – user perspective. Selection of flushing system parameters – calculator on the WaterFolder platform. Implementation examples
Calculator for the selection of retention reservoirs and gravity pipes made of PEHD on the WaterFolder platform
The presentation will concern the calculators for the selection of retention reservoirs and PEHD gravity pipes prepared by Uponor Infra. Step by step, we will show you how to use these tools to select the parameters of the designed pipelines and tanks in a simple, correct and optimal way.
Workshops for GZM
Rainwater charges and operating costs - workshop closed for GZM
Workshop topics:
- Charges for rainwater management in municipalities as a tool for adaptation to climate change and management of the municipal sewage network.
- Terms and conditions of paying fees for “water services” to PGW Woda Polskie for the discharge of rainwater.
- IT tools supporting rainwater management in communes.

Plan flood resilient cities and landscapes with SCALGO Live
During the workshop you will get to know how easily and intuitively you can: • identify surface runoff watersheds just by one click, • assess surface runoff volumes, • identify potential flood hazard. In addition, you will learn how to test mitigation measures in the early stages of your design, supporting ideas and decisions in your projects. See how the interactive tools can help you shape terrain and adapt your blue-green infrastructure solutions to climate challenges, and how you can include runoff coefficients in your analyses. SCALGO Live it is an innovative and web-based platform used by over 15,000 engineers, planners, architects, and other specialists around Europe, including Poland, Germany, UK and Scandinavia amongst others.

WaterFolder Day
Silesian Business for Climate
Accompanying event
A meeting devoted to the exchange of experiences of Silesian companies from various production industries, their implementations and best practices in the field of adaptation to climate change and the circular economy. We are convinced that the implementation of “green solutions” is not only CSR, but also a necessity and our responsibility. Industry is responsible for more than 80% of greenhouse gas emissions, including energy and transport, but product manufacturing accounts for a significant share. Economical material, waste or water management is a measurable benefit for both the natural environment and our development.
