A graduate of the Civil Engineering department, Architecture and Environmental Engineering at the Lodz University of Technology and Postgraduate Pedagogical Studies at the Faculty of Organization and Management at the Lodz University of Technology.
She was awarded the PhD degree in environmental engineering in 2006 at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Białystok University of Technology on the basis of the dissertation: “Analysis of the possibility of receiving rainwater in biological municipal sewage treatment plants on the example of Group Sewage Treatment Plant of the Łódź Urban Agglomeration”, which was awarded in 2007 by the Marshal of the Lodzkie Voivodship for the best doctoral dissertation.
Since 2006, she has been employed as an adjunct at the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Building Installations at the Lodz University of Technology. The area of scientific interest concerns both the functioning of sewerage systems, including their modeling, rainwater management and the protection of surface water against pollution resulting from the discharge of rainwater from urban areas (with particular emphasis on pollutant emissions from storm transfers).
Promoter of several dozen master’s and engineering theses. Author and co-author of articles in indexed Polish and foreign journals. She presented her research results at Polish and foreign conferences (Conference on Urban Drainage). Main contractor in two NCN research grants and in the Innovative Economy operational project – in the topic “Reduction of pollutant emissions from urbanized areas to the environment”.
