Habilitation doctor, architectural engineer, associate professor at the Poznan University of Technology, academic teacher at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznan University of Technology (serving as Vice-Dean of the Faculty for two terms, 2002-2005 and 2012-2016). She gained knowledge and practical experience in the Netherlands (at Croonen Adviseurs b.v. in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Avans Hogeschool in Tilburg). An expert in shaping urban waterfront areas and managing stormwater in urban public spaces.

She has been the project leader of several research projects and an external expert in the international project REURIS (2009-2011), focused on the revitalization of urban rivers. She is a member of the Committee for Water-Related Hazards Research at the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the advisory group for the strategic program “River in the City” in Poznan (2011-2012). Since 2016, she has been a member of the team for the City of Poznan, responsible for the development of areas along the Warta River in Poznan. She has been recognized with various awards, including the 2nd degree Minister of Infrastructure award for outstanding creative achievements in spatial planning and urban design (2008) and the Medal of the National Education Commission (2014).

She is the author of over 100 scientific publications, including 3 monographs: “Water in Urban Public Space. Model Forms of Stormwater and Surface Water Management” (2011), “Poznan’s Waterfront – The Warta Valley. Revitalization of River Connections” (2011), and “River-Friendly Cities” (2019). She has organized two cycles of scientific conferences in Poznan: an international conference titled “Water in the Townscape” and a national conference titled “Human-Ecology-Architecture”.
