A graduate of the Construction Technical School in Kraków and of the Faculties of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the Cracow University of Technology. Kazimierz Łatak is the author of engineering structures (footbridges), residential buildings, hotels, vertical wind tunnels, public buildings, and public spaces. In 1995, together with Piotr Lewicki, he founded the design studio Lewicki Łatak.

In 2022, he was honoured with the Jože Plečnik Award by the Association of Czech Architects. He was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit (2007). For his contributions to the restoration of Kraków’s monuments, he received the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta in 2023, and for his services to the city and its residents, he was awarded the Honoris Gratia badge of the City of Kraków that same year.
