Since 2020, he has served as the First Deputy Mayor of the City of Gliwice. His responsibilities include overseeing tasks related to city strategic planning and development, municipal investments and renovations, municipal services and local transportation, securing funds from international sources, including the European Union, public procurement, electromobility, and alternative fuels.

The Deputy Mayor oversees two municipal organizational units: the Municipal Department of Municipal Services and the Municipal Road Management Department. He also exercises ownership supervision over Gliwice’s municipal companies.

With 23 years of experience in local government, he has gained extensive managerial experience. Since 2000, he worked at the Gliwice City Hall for over 10 years and also held the position of deputy director of a municipal organizational unit in Gliwice. For over 5 years, he served as the director of the Office of the Association of Municipalities and Counties of the Central Subregion of the Silesian Voivodeship (Związek ZIT), where he has been the Chairman of the Board since September 2020. He is a dedicated local government official involved in numerous projects aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of local government operations, including benchmarking studies of city offices and the development of a public service monitoring system.
