He is a graduate of Poznań University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Institute of Architecture and Spatial Planning. In 1981, he obtained a Master of Science degree in Architecture. Between 1982 and 1992, he worked as a designer in state-owned and private design offices. Since 1993, he has co-run an independent architectural studio together with his wife, Dr hab. Eng. Arch. Ewa Pruszewicz-Sipińska, Associate Professor at Poznań University of Technology.
Since 1989, he has been engaged in teaching at Poznań University of Technology, and since 2007 also at the University of the Arts in Poznań. In addition, since 2010 he has been the Head of Architectural Design Studio III at the University of the Arts in Poznań. In 1999, he was awarded a PhD in technical sciences in the field of architecture and urban planning. In 2012, he obtained the degree of habilitated doctor granted by the Faculty Council of Architecture and Design at the University of the Arts in Poznań. In 2014, he was appointed Associate Professor at the University of the Arts in Poznań. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Professor of Arts in the discipline of fine arts and conservation of works of art by the President of the Republic of Poland.
He holds conservation qualifications issued by the Provincial Heritage Conservator (WKZ) in 1996 and has been a certified building expert in the field of architecture since 2002. Alongside his academic work, his main creative output consists of independent architectural design practice. He has been the lead designer of several dozen projects in both building and linear architecture. He specializes in the design of public buildings, including office, commercial and service, hospital, residential, engineering structures, and bridges.
He is a recipient of numerous national and international awards, including five International Property Awards, the German Design Award, ministerial and sectoral awards, the Jan Baptysta Quadro Award, among others.
