In the third session of the conference, as in the previous years, we want to look a bit ahead and discuss the state and prospects of Intelligent Rainwater Infrastructure. We want to convince you that even for smaller towns it is not a pipe dream or futurology. Artificial intelligence, expert systems, data mining does not have to be just a catchphrase in the case of rainwater, and in the very distant future. Such solutions are already used in practice for rainwater in the world and in Poland, bringing specific benefits and savings. As RetencjaPL, we want to demonstrate the results of their use in the WaterFolder Connect project (an innovative online platform for integrated design and modeling of drainage systems), which we are implementing with many Partners. But most importantly, we want to persuade you to be as active as possible in this area, as you may be supported by “Hydrostrateg” – the financing program announced by the National Center for Research and Development. This is the first such fund dedicated to water in Poland and a great opportunity for development of our entire industry. It is also a great challenge to face the increasing water shortages in our country. Without innovation, without intelligence and without taking care of rainwater, we will not be able to meet this challenge in Polish cities and contribute to ensuring a better future for future generations. So let’s use the opportunity that arises and find “time for rainwater”.
