The cities of the future are not only about infrastructure hidden underground, but also about public space in which water plays a key role. The session “Architects of Water” is dedicated to those who actively shape urban reality: architects, urban designers, planners, engineers, and public officials. Through planning, legal, and design decisions, they influence the aesthetics, functionality, and resilience of cities.
The session will show how water becomes a unifying element connecting technology, nature, and culture — from green boulevards and retention parks to de-paved squares and new models of space management. It is a story of a shift in thinking: from designing infrastructure to designing a city in which water is the binding force of all actions.
