The “Water Visionaries” and “Water Architects” sessions will conclude with a special debate. Alongside Ms Hanna Madajczyk, President of Aquanet Retencja—the company responsible for stormwater management in Poznań—the panel will feature representatives of leading design and consulting firms whose ambition goes beyond delivering projects to include education and changing the way we think about rainwater.
Drawing on experience from numerous projects in Poland and abroad, the speakers will take on the challenge of shaping a vision for the year 2050. This date appears frequently in climate-change projections. Moreover, projects financed with EU funds under FEnIKS (European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment) should be designed and verified against the real-world conditions expected in 2050. Can we imagine what design processes and cooperation between consultants and contracting authorities will look like in 25 years? Which trends will endure? Who will survive in the global market? How will engineers collaborate with urban planners and architects? Will design become fully digital, with reality simulation becoming the norm?
